To a lot of people, when you talk about Blackhawk, CA, most would think of the Blackmore Country Club. In reality, though, the community is divided into six individual neighborhoods. All of them are gated communities they are located along the Blackhawk Road. It also encompasses the Blackhawk Country Club. These areas are also connected with a jogging trail that stretches to three miles long.

The very first community associated to Blackhawk that was ever completed is the Hidden Oak. It is made up of 206 homes and was established first in the year 1978. All the streets in this particular neighborhood are all named from the different varieties of the oak tree. Or instance, there are Hidden Oak Drive and White Oak Place among many others. Most of the houses present in this neighborhood are consist of four or five bedrooms. Here are few that have three bedrooms only. Contiguous to the Blackhawk Country Club is the Silver maple. It has its gate. It is designed around the golf holes in the country club, and the homes often rage from 1,800 up to 4,000 square feet. They also include some detached types and townhomes. The lots here tend to be more modest though when compared to the other neighborhoods.

Then there is Silver Oak. It is unique among the areas because it consists a hundred percent of town-home style condominiums with two stories. It is also located at a very close distance, a walking distance in fact, from Shops at Blackhawk.

The community also features the Tennis Club community which has six tennis courts along with its entrance. Of course, there is the Blackhawk Country Club which is the jewel in this city's crown. There are some of modest homes in this part of the neighborhood who have never failed to impress visitors that came and saw it.
